What kind of kiln do you use?

I use an electric top-loading kiln.

Do you have to fire the pots more than once?

Yes, firstly they go into a bisque firing, up to 1000 degrees Celsius, which makes the pots solid, but still porous. Then I apply the glaze, which is the consistency of thin cream and soaks into the body of the pot. Then they are fired again up to 1200 degrees Celsius. Then there's the agonising wait for the kiln to cool.

Do you give workshops?

Yes, please email me for dates and prices.
